Shadow Dungeon Builds: How to Build Each Class in 1.0
The Build Formula
Shadow Dungeon deliberately spreads power across three systems, so “a build” means more than a talent path. Per the official 1.0 notes and store description:
- 12 talent trees (3 per class) with hundreds of skills
- 2,400 weapon-granted skills across 1,000+ affixes in 5 categories
- 15 sets per class, most with skill-altering affixes
- From level 100: the Paragon tree adds raw attribute scaling (details)
The store page calls hybrid builds out by name: “By combining different weapons and skills, you can create your own hybrid builds.” That is the intended endgame loop — the numbers below are the framework we use rather than rigid meta lists, because the developer publishes no official build data and the game is a week old.
Necromancer Builds
Spine: any summon-focused tree. Chase on weapons: Summoning Skills affixes, summoned-creature attack/accessory skills. The minion army scales twice — once from your tree, once from summon affixes — which is why we rank it S on the tier list. Rift-exclusive Talent Skill Runes (370 exist, per the 1.0 notes) push key summon talents further.
Sorcerer Builds
Spine: one element as your main tree, second tree for utility. Chase on weapons: granted casts and auras that stack with your element; conversion skills can turn off-element drops into on-element damage. Defensive affixes are your real budget line — Sorcerer’s weakness is survivability, not damage.
Archer Builds
Spine: single-target precision tree for bosses, or spread tree for the campaign. Chase on weapons: Trap Launchers (new 1.0 skill type) cover Archer’s weak spot against dense elite packs; combo launchers reward the class’s high attack cadence.
Holy Warrior Builds
Spine: sustain-lean tree for Inferno pushing. Chase on weapons: Shields that Block Enemy Projectiles (1.0 skill type) — the single biggest fix for melee’s ranged-damage problem — plus any granted aura. Sets matter most here: melee gear-checks hardest in high rifts.
Endgame Build Progression
- Finish the 160-level campaign (~level 99-100 by design — walkthrough).
- Unlock Greater Rifts; climb Normal → Master → Nightmare → Inferno (rift guide).
- Farm rift-exclusive runes: 370 Talent Skill Runes, 6,800 Equipment Skill Runes, 60 Attribute Runes.
- Complete a class set (15 per class) and rebuild around its skill-altering affixes.
- Fill Paragon levels for attribute scaling.
We keep this page at the framework level until enough post-launch data exists to name specific talent orders responsibly — no guessed skill numbers here, ever.
Thanks for the feedback!
